Key Responsibilities:

As the Head of Department (HOD) for Anatomical Pathology, your leadership will be pivotal in steering our Histology, Cytology, and Mortuary divisions. You will guide a team of 25 passionate professionals, fostering an environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Your role will involve but not limited to:

• Collaborating with the 2IC - Histology to ensure smooth departmental operations.

• Mentoring team members to nurture their professional growth by providing training and sharing your expertise.

• Upholding our commitment to high-quality service delivery.

• Collaborate with the Lead Anatomical Pathologist to ensure seamless operations and optimal patient care.

• Driving strategic initiatives for departmental growth and efficiency.

• Ensuring sustainable use of resources and adopting new methodologies to optimize lab processes.

• Participate in future planning and policy setting for the department, contributing to its growth and success.

• Organize and prioritize workflow efficiently to meet the company's and client's requirements effectively.

Requirements:

• A registered Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Histology, and ready to lead.

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in Histology, with a solid grasp of Anatomical Pathology.

• A natural leader who inspires, with a track record of motivating diverse teams. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels.

• In-depth knowledge of laboratory protocols and a commitment to best practices.

• Availability for a Monday to Friday schedule, with flexibility for after-hours support in line with hospital needs.
