About the role |Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist specialising in Histology to join our Histology Department based in Hamilton. The position is full-time permanent (80 hours per fortnight) with participation in the weekend roster and public holidays as required.
Reporting to the Site Lead - Histology, you will be practising as a registered Scientist to undertake aspects of diagnostic laboratory work within the Histopathology department.
Key responsibilities include:
Working flexibly in reflection of service needs is an integral part of the role - the operating hours of the laboratory are 6pm- 9pm, and working shifts are rostered within these time frames.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in histological techniques, laboratory procedures, and a keen attention to detail in a medical laboratory setting.
