    Laboratory Manager – General Permanent, Full-time Queenstown

    About the role | Mō te tūranga:

    As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for managing all operational activities of the Queenstown laboratory to ensure a quality and efficient cost-effective delivery of diagnostic services to our customer and patients. This is a full-time permanent role of 80 hours per fortnight.


    Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Manage laboratory operations, ensuring effective and highest quality services are delivered to our customers while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
    • Interact with clients to identify opportunities for continuous service excellence, including new services. 
    • Keeps up to date with new developments, current literature and best practice standards.
    • Ensure staff performance and development reviews are performed in line with company guidelines.
    • Responsible for the health and safety of all staff.
    • Lead and engage with the team to motivate them to deliver the highest customer service.

    Project management and further development of the laboratory to grow the business and services.


    To be successful in this role you will need to:

    • Competence in an appropriate technical laboratory discipline preferred.
    • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration and rapport with team members and stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple sites.
