    About the role | Mō te tūranga:

    Our Core Laboratory is currently on the hunt for dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Scientists / Interns. The positions are located in our Invercargill Laboratory.

    You will be willing to learn new skills, work well alone and as part of a team. Extremely well-organised, detail-oriented, and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service. The successful applicant must have a high degree of accuracy and be self-sufficient in order to excel in this role.


    We are hiring for permanent positions with the following shift options:

    • Part Time Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
    • Part Time Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
    • Full Time 24/7 Rotating Roster: We welcome applications from candidates interested in a rotating schedule.

    To be successful in this role you will need to:

    • Registration with Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
    • A current Annual or Interim Practicing Certificate
    • A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including, safety, quality assurance processes, operation of equipment and hands-on practical experience
    • A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
    • The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines
    • Flexibility with your working hours will be invaluable to the team.
    • Excellent attention to detail with good record-keeping skills
    • Eligible to work in New Zealand
