    About the Role

    As a Laboratory Technician in the Biochemistry department, you will be responsible for:

    • Preparing and processing laboratory samples for diagnostic testing.
    • Performing routine laboratory procedures and maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping.
    • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.
    • Working collaboratively with laboratory scientists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.

    About you

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology.
    • Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
    • Have experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in Biochemistry.
    • Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Be committed to maintaining high-quality standards and ongoing professional development.
