    About the Role

    As a Laboratory Technician in the Histology department, you will be responsible for:

    • Processing and preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination.
    • Performing routine histology techniques, including embedding, sectioning, and staining.
    • Ensuring quality control and compliance with laboratory standards.
    • Maintaining and operating laboratory equipment.
    • Collaborating with laboratory scientists and pathologists to support accurate diagnostics.

    About you

    To be successful in this role, you will:

    • Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology.
    • Be registered (or eligible for registration) with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
    • Have experience working in a histology laboratory or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area.
    • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and technical skills.
    • Have strong communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Be committed to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous professional development.
