About the role | Mō te tūranga

We are currently seeking two dedicated, enthusiastic, and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician’s to join our Core Laboratory team. Both positions are full-time of 80 hours per fortnight, based at our Invercargill Laboratory and include participation in a 24/7 rotating roster.


You will be willing to learn new skills, work well alone and as part of a team. Extremely well-organised, detail-oriented, and friendly with a strong focus on quality and customer service. The successful applicant must have a high degree of accuracy and be self-sufficient in order to excel in this role.


To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Registration with Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
  • A current Annual or Interim Practicing Certificate
  • A sound knowledge of laboratory operations including, safety, quality assurance processes, operation of equipment and hands-on practical experience
  • A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand
