About the role |Ngā kōrero mō te tūranga

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and competent Medical Laboratory Scientist in our Haematology. This is a full-time position of 80 hours each fortnight.


We are looking for someone to facilitate effective and efficient performance in the department by working collaboratively with the team to perform medical laboratory scientist duties.



About you | He kōrero mōu

  • The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines.
  • A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Sound knowledge of laboratory operations including, safety, quality assurance processes, operation of equipment and hands-on practical experience.
  • Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand under the scope of Medical Laboratory Scientist and a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
  • Available to work rostered and rotating weekends and evenings. Please note these hours attract penal rates.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand.
